Never get lost in space....
Its a decade ago sine I did my IFR in Austria and had a very pleasant teacher using such tool at the times. Now having it available on iPad/iPhone is even more a joy. Especially to emphasize a aircrafts position in relation to Navigation Aids.
Very good tool to teach students as well to give them a tool to train there ability to fly an airplane with the support of instrument, rather having them guessing where they might be or where to go next.
I suggest only one thing as improvement, that would be to increase the timer speed up to 4 factors rather having only one.
To ease the way through interpreting the instruments I suggest the iBook written by Wilhelm Thaller "Never get lost".
Both, the book as well that kind of application made me to fly IFR with confidence from the very first day.
